Information and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Important Information:
- Please register at least 2 weeks before the virtual session to allow for delivery of your resource pack by post.
- Once dispatched, the resource kit is not returnable or refundable (please do not return it).
- If you need to cancel or make changes to your booking, the cost of the resource kit (plus postage and handling) is deducted from the refund amount.
- The course price includes postage and an ‘Authority to Leave’.
⇣ How Long does the course take? ⇣
The course is broken into two parts
Part 1: The Online module, which will take approximately three to four hours and can be done over multiple sessions.
Part 2: The virtual training session usually lasts
– for Virtual First Aid: Three and a half hours
– for Virtual CPR: One to two hours
⇣ What qualification will I get? ⇣
On successful completion, you will get a statement of attainment with the following units of competence:
For Virtual First Aid
- HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
For Virtual Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
The statement of attainment will be issued by email within 30 days of course completion, however just let us know if you need it quickly.
⇣ Does the First Aid course include CPR ? ⇣
Yes, upon successful completion you will receive a statement of attainment for HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The resource kit which is posted to you also includes a manikin for you to practise CPR and undertake the assessment.
⇣ Can the course be completed on a phone or tablet? ⇣
Yes it can, however it is best suited on a computer (laptop or desktop) and we recommend you use Google Chrome web browser. You will need a web camera, microphone and stable internet connection.
⇣ How long will the resource pack take to get to me ? ⇣
We can not precisely say. We will post the resource pack, the next working day after you register (and pay) for a course and post the pack via Australia Post, Parcel Post with a tracking number.
⇣ Do I return the Resource Kit after Use ? ⇣
No, this is yours to keep. You may need this kit the following year to undertake the CPR refresher course.
⇣ If I already have a resource kit, can I get a discount ? ⇣
Yes, the price will reduce as follows:
– Virtual First Aid: $210.00
– Virtual CPR: $120.00
You must contact us on (07) 3823 2823 during normal business hours to arrange the course booking with a lower price.
⇣ Can I do my CPR refresher via a virtual session ? ⇣
Yes, we can do this. Please refer to our list of Virtual CPR courses here.
⇣ How much does the course cost? ⇣
The Recommended Retail Price is:
– Virtual First Aid: $310.00 (not subject to GST)
– Virtual CPR: $195.00 (not subject to GST)
This price includes everything for the course, such as:
- The Online Learning modules
- The Resource Kit
- The virtual assessment session
The price does not include a computer, web camera or internet access for you.
⇣ Is the online learning compulsory? ⇣
Yes, you will not be able to undertake the virtual session until you have successfully completed the online component.
⇣ Can the course be upgraded to include HLTAID012? ⇣
HLTAID012 is Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
Yes we can upgrade the course to include this unit of competency, it will incur an additional cost of $50.00 and the virtual session will take some additional time to complete the extra learning and assessment.

The resources in the kit are intended for your individual use only (for training purposes) and not for re-sale.
⇣ Can I do this course in any state or territory ? ⇣
We are based in Queensland and market this course for Queenslanders; we do not advertise this course in other states or territories, however our scope of registration allows us to deliver this course in any state or territory, so yes you can do this course if you live in another state or territory.
⇣ Can I do this course if I am overseas ? ⇣
No. We are not registered as a CRICOSS provider and are not able to deliver this course as a VET course overseas.
We can however deliver not VET training overseas, but this training does not lead to VET outcome.
⇣ Is this course suitable to everyone ? ⇣
No, a virtual course it is not suitable to everyone. If you find this course is not suitable to you, please contact us on (07) 3823 2823 and we can arrange transfer to a regular course, or refund the course fees (less the resource kit cost).
⇣ What happens if I do not attend or pass ? ⇣
You can simply attend another virtual session to complete the course. We allow all students three attempt to complete the course at no additional cost.
